The new owners are trying very hard to turn this place around. Tammy and Kevin went out of their way to make us comfortable and see to it that we had what we needed. We were part of a small group of Vietnam veterans attending a reunion hosted by a Manchester area resident and Tammy and Kevin and family/friends went way above and beyond to welcome us and show their appreciation. This is not a 5 star property, doesn’t pretend to be one, nor were we expecting one, and didn’t pay for one. If you’re looking for a good value and a property ran by honest to God patriotic Americans who are trying hard to make it work, give these folks your business!
Stayed 2 nights not back to back; they gave us the same room the 2nd night! Staff friendly & accommodating. I like a clock radio @ bedside. When I couldn’t set the time on the one in our room, they switched it out for another one. Nice breakfast, although I like fresh fruit there were fruit cups in the frig. Would come back again if in the area!
The pool was nice, and refreshing. The staff was helpful, with every question I ask for. I came to Manchester to visit Backbone State Park, and this place was the most affordable. It also had a pool and hot tub so a bonus. I loved the breakfast tasty eggs, and sausages. The rooms were nice and the free wifi was a blast. They also where pet friendly so I could bring my husky. WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.
Great price, bed was comfortable. Stayed here a few weeks ago while traveling out of state for a wedding. Easy check in and out process. Room was clean, no weird stains/smells, etc. Bathroom was clean and had no issues whatsoever. All staff that I encountered were friendly! Would stay here again if the occasion arises! Thank you!
Staff was very accommodating, attentive and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. It was fairly quiet. Breakfast was good with fresh donuts. A definite good value. We will stay again.
The owners are some of the friendliest people I've ever met. Felt like old friends from the moment we walked in. They gave us great advice on what to do and where to visit on our stay.
Spent 3 nites here while attending the National Farm Toy Show in Dyersville. As I have severe back pain and have difficulty sleeping lying down for very long, the staff there were very helpfull and understanding. The handicapped rooms also were booked. They moved a recliner in my room which really helped me get some rest. I have noticed they are working hard to improve the facilities. Sure there was a stain on the carpet, but the beds were clean and comfortable and had 4 pillows which helped me get comfortable both in the recliner and in bed. The room had good heat, a fridge with small icebox, microwave and coffee pot. Talking about coffee, they had plenty of good coffee, rolls and waffles for breakfast. Also ceral, yogurt, orange juice and milk. This was my third stay here and will be back for the Summer Farm Toy show in June of 2025. A big thanks to Tammy for making it a great stay!
Great little motel. Great prices. Friendly staff. Beds were comfy. Nice clean rooms. Kinda bummed the pool wasn't open d/t maintenance, but still an overall great stay.
